Atmos devs say it's when you boot. Specifically, the main system firmware, when booted, sends the gamecard firmware to the lotus chip (which will burn the fuse if needed). Unless disabled by nogc patches, which sx os apparently doesn't use.
The main system firmware will certainly blow but as long as you use the gcini file with ChoiDujournx it should be ok but I think soon as you use the slot it will blow but then again I’m not upmost expert on the gc slot.

I used sx os for months, never inserted a game card while in SX OS and my gamecard reader wasn't updated. I still can use game cards in 2.1.0 SysNAND. But idk about the new updated.

The .ini that cdjnx makes is for hekate and has no effect on SX OS. Even if you chainload SX OS from hekate.

I see you learn something new all the time. I thought version 1.0.2 of ChoiDujournx protected against this as standard? I’ve always used the gcini so it’s been a wasted effort. Then again most games need updated software to run so downgrading to a really low firmware would be pointless.

Is there any way to check gcfuse count from Hekate similar to checking efuses for firmware. My NSW is messed regardless with that stupid battery indicator bug back. I am really peed off at my self for continuing to use sx os garbage for XCI loading & cheat finding. If my gamecard slot updated. They should be ashamed of them shelves. In fact I should slap myself. I was very happy using Atmos for a while.

Yes 9.0.1 works exactly the same as 9.0 same issues with some xci titles and stealth is causing issues.

Just updated sys and emunand to 9.0.1, seems to be working fine with sx 2.9.1.
On another subject, don't know if I should buy an ipatched switch to have as a backup system, promotions may arise with the new 16nm units being the hot item...

Great work TX, as always
If this horse wasn't already dead I would beat the F out of it. This is just hilarious. You couldn't have wrote a better slapdash comedy sketch than what they just did....and I heard its going to get even better.

There is no way to see those fuses. The only thing you can do is test if cartridges work on firmware <4.0, <9.0, and >9.0 (remember that there were 2 updates to the cartridge slot on firmware 4.0 as well as 9.0).

Problems found trying to backup save game files in 9.0.1 emunand with sx 2.9.1:
- SX Installer 2.00 gives error on start and requires reboot.
- Chekpoint 3.7.2 gives a message "please do not run checkpiont in applet mode".
Fortunately Chekpoint 3.6 worked for backing up, waiting to see the restore.

You have to run CHECKPOINT as a NSP so it doesn't show that message.
