From the delicious turkey to the many savoury side dishes and the pumpkin pie, here is every gluten-free recipe you’ll need for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.

Canadian Thanksgiving is just around the corner so I am rounding up some of my favourite gluten-free recipes by many of my favourite food bloggers. These recipes are based on all of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner recipes we grew up on but have been adapted slightly to make them gluten-free. Trust me when I tell you they are still delicious and your family isn’t even going to know they are gluten-free!

And please promise me you won’t forget about the wine! Of course, I’ve got you covered with these Thanksgiving Wine Pairings.

Butternut Squash Soup

This creamy (but made without cream) Butternut Squash Soup recipe is a delicious starter for your Thanksgiving dinner. It has very simple ingredients and can be made ahead of time because it tastes even better the day after it’s made.

Turkey

The turkey is the star of the show when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. This Turkey recipe turns out amazing on the Big Green Egg but it can also be done in the oven.

Gravy

This is a quick and easy gravy recipe that tastes just like Grandma’s turkey gravy. I make a few adjustments to this recipe (no longer making it paleo or Whole 30 compliant) like replacing ghee with butter and using 1/2 cup of the turkey drippings in place of the coconut aminos and poultry spice. When you use 1/2 cup of turkey drippings only use 2 cups of chicken broth. It’s so good! And it’s very versatile so you can use this recipe with beef and chicken also.

Cranberry Sauce

Sure, you can buy this sauce in a can but, in my opinion, you are missing out on what cranberry sauce is truly supposed to taste like. This recipe by my all-time favourite food blogger, Danielle Walker is far superior and, you’ll know exactly what’s in it.

Sourdough Bread Stuffing

Stuffing has always been my favourite side dish of a turkey dinner. This Sourdough Bread Stuffing recipe is not gluten-free but many people, including me, with gluten sensitivities, can tolerate sourdough bread. I haven’t tried this recipe with gluten-free bread but I’m sure it would turn out great.

Yukon Gold & Sweet Potato Mash

The delicious and nutrient-rich union of Yukon gold potatoes with sweet potatoes is a match made in heaven. I adapt this recipe by substituting the milk, butter and brown sugar with a 1/2 a block of Boursin Herb and Garlic cheese. Look out! This is a creamy, delicious variation of mashed potatoes that you are going to LOVE! Depending on how many you are having for dinner, you may want to double this recipe.

Thanksgiving Dinner Recipe Round-Up (6)

Roasted Acorn Squash

This Roasted Acorn Squash recipe is going to please all of your squash fans but also change the minds of those who believe they don’t like squash.

Thanksgiving Dinner Recipe Round-Up (7)

Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts

This Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts dish makes an appearance on our table regularly. Can you believe these brussels sprouts taste like candy? The recipe is shared by one of my favourite food bloggers, Lexi with Lexi’s Clean Kitchen. You need to follow her on all of your socials if you are looking for delicious gluten-free recipes.

Green Bean Casserole

This recipe is another delicious take on Green Bean Casserole by Danielle Walker that you are going to LOVE. The mushroom sauce is to die for! Get this recipe (and so many more) in her delightful cookbook, Celebrations: A Year of Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and Paleo Recipes for Every Occasion.

Glazed Carrots

Kick that nasty brown sugar to the curb and replace it with maple syrup and you’re still going to get a dish of glazed carrots that taste like candy with this recipe. Plus, these carrots are going to add a pop of colour to your Thanksgiving dinner table.

Autumn Chopped Salad with Creamy Poppyseed Dressing

Apples, pears, cranberries, pecans, feta cheese and bacon on a bed of romaine lettuce and topped with poppyseed dressing? Yes, please! This salad recipe will be a refreshing and creamy hit at your Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving Dinner Recipe Round-Up (10)

Fireball Pumpkin Pie

The grand finale of a sweet and savoury Thanksgiving dinner is the pumpkin pie. This variation of the traditional pumpkin pie recipe includes 5 oz of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey giving it a spicy, creamier taste. It’s delicious!
