NASCAR is making its annual stop at the Granite State, New Hampshire. And this Sunday, we will be over and done with 50% of the 2024 season.The Cup and Xfinity Series races will be on display, loud & roaring at the often-debated 1.058-mile racetrack. However, the Trucks fans have to wait only one more weekend for the Rackley Roofing 200 to return to Nashville on July 28th. 3 races, 1 epic weekend: don’t miss the millions at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Friday, June 21st: First, the Whelen Tour will rev off all the excitement with practice sessions for the modifieds at 2:30 p.m. ET. Followed by qualifying and practice for the Xfinity race through the afternoon until 5:45 PM, which will be streamed on screens via the USA Network and NBC’s Sports app. The day ends with the Whelen Tour cars taking the field one more time to qualify for their main event on Saturday. The 2023 winner of the Mohegan Sun 100 and three-time modifieds champion, Justin Bonsignore will gear up for a doubleheader by making his Xfinity Series debut driving the #19 Joe Gibbs the following day.

On Saturday, July 22nd: The Cup Series will take the spectators by storm with practice & qualifying starting from approximately 12:35 PM at noon. Then the SciApps 200 will go green from 3:30 PM divided across three stages of 45/45/110 respectively. For those watching on TVs & dedicated screens, you can catch the action for the two National Touring Series on the USA Network and the NBC Sports app. Furthermore, radio listeners can enjoy their high-speed fix for all things NASCAR on Performance Racing Network (PRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. To conclude, an eventful day of racing in the North Eastern United States will be rounded off by the Modifieds feature main event at 6:30 p.m. ET. Sunday, July 23rd: The pre-race for the USA Today 301 is set to go down from 2 PM ET with the green ready to drop at 2:30 for the main event. Stages for the 318-mile-or-so Cup race will encompass 75 laps on the first, 115 on the second, and 116 circuits to end the final stage.

According to NASCAR correspondent for FOX, Bob Pockrass on Twitter, the purses for the two NASCAR National Series races stand at $7,876,911 for Cup and $1,270,055 for Xfinity. But how much would an average track-goer contribute individually to that amount via ticket sales over the weekend?

‘Speedway Weather Guarantee’ to protect your race day fun

Concord Grandstand overlooking Turns 1 and 2 has seats starting around $64 for the front 20 rows. These offer a good view of most of the action at Loudon. On the other hand, the Main Grandstand has tickets available, starting at $70 for the front row and climbing as you move back. Unfortunately, all seats overlooking the start-finish line have already been sold out but there are still plenty of options. Additionally, full weekend packages are also a thing of more recent history.

On a positive note, kids under 12 can get admission for just $10, and there is even a 15% military discount available on tickets for all veterans past or present, courtesy of “MILTIX presented by GEICO MILITARY.” But with collective weather forecasts predicting rains over Loudon throughout the weekend, ticket-buyers will be most pleased by the Speedway Motorsports Weather Guarantee.

According to the NHMS website, which is also where you can get all the details on the last few remaining tickets, the ‘weather guarantee’ assures fans that “If weather postpones a NASCAR race held at a Speedway Motorsports speedway & a ticket holder is unable to attend on the rescheduled date, the Weather Guarantee provides such fans a ticket credit toward a future NASCAR race at any of the Speedway Motorsports speedways.”

As for the weather, New Hampshire has been the hottest since 2011, according to the US National Weather Service Gray ME. And it looks like rains are on the way to cool things down this weekend. Heads up though, because those scattered showers may start from Friday afternoon, with more forecasts of rains following through on Saturday, Sunday & Monday. AccuWeather says there’s a 40% chance of rain and high temperatures nearing 88 degrees on race day specifically, which could also signal a repeat of the 2023 postponement.

Saturday’s qualifying order for the USA Today 301 NASCAR Cup race

All drivers in the field will be divided into two ‘Groups’ to run a single lap in qualifying (as NHMS does not qualify as a short track), with the 5 fastest drivers from each group progressing into the final round of qualifying. The drivers unable to make it through the first round in ‘Group A,’ will start their race on the outside row. Consequently, the ones that failed to advance in Group B will roll off the grid on the inside row. Finally, the rest will battle it out on Saturday via single-lap runs to determine the front row for Sunday. Below is the announced order for the June 22nd rollout during qualifying.
